Seshu Madhavapeddy is Vice President, Mobile Computing at Qualcomm Inc. In this role, Seshu is responsible for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon based business in Tablet and Notebook markets.
Previously, Seshu worked as Senior Vice President, Product & Technology for Samsung Mobile USA. In this role, Seshu was responsible for the development and delivery of Samsung’s iconic smartphones, tablets, smart watches, cameras and other wearables and accessories into the U.S. market.
Prior to Samsung, Seshu worked at Texas Instruments as the General Manager of the Smartphones Business Line where he was responsible for the OMAP Applications Processors based smartphones and tablets business.
Seshu’s previous roles include leadership positions in two technology Start-ups; President & CEO of Sipera Systems which was acquired by Avaya and Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Spatial Wireless which was acquired by Alcatel Lucent.
Seshu is the inventor of more than 20 U.S. patents in wireless communication and has published over 20 technical research papers. He has a bachelor of technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Texas at Dallas. He was also a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Paderborn, Germany.
