Sanjay Mehta leads Qualcomm Technologies’ (QTI’s) compute and extended reality businesses. In this role, Mehta manages the Qualcomm Snapdragon portfolio of products for always on, always connected devices as well as augmented reality and virtual reality devices and applications.
Previously, Mehta served as president of Qualcomm Technologies China, overseeing all direct and indirect commercialization activities for the company’s chipset business in China. From FY16 to FY18, Mehta helped drive double-digit growth in both share and revenues in the region.
Mehta joined Qualcomm in 2004 and has been a key member of the Qualcomm Technologies leadership team. During his tenure, he has held various roles in finance, including the position of CFO of the chipset business, and has served as the chipset business operations lead. Mehta has made several significant contributions to this business including driving customer growth, establishing a global pricing strategy, and providing key support for the integration of several acquisitions as well as the implementation of the business unit structure.
Mehta has more than 25 years of leadership experience and a strong history of building business collaborations and delivering results. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Mehta held management positions in Nortel Networks and PwC Canada.
Mehta holds a Bachelor of Commerce along with a major in Economics from the University of Toronto. He was also qualified as a Chartered Accountant earlier in his career.
