Larry Paulson serves as vice president of product management at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. In this role Paulson is responsible for product management efforts across the Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) program, Qualcomm Glboal Pass Program, Qualcomm Mobile Test Platforms (MTP), Qualcomm Gobi modules for laptops, device tools and HDK (Hardware Development Kit) for application testing.
Prior to Qualcomm, he was the Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President at Brightpoint Inc. Mr. Paulson was responsible for providing direction and coordination in the areas of strategic development, portfolio expansion through new products and services, establishing and managing relationships with key vendors and customers and executing on the global marketing and product plan. He also served as the President of Technophone Americas and president of Nokia Products Corporation, a USA entity. Technophone was acquired by Nokia in 1991. His responsibilities included product roadmaps, business planning, feature strategies and application activities for all Nokia CDMA products worldwide. Mr. Paulson spent more than 22 years at Nokia where he held numerous leadership positions. He also oversaw the company’s original design manufacturing process with partners in China, Taiwan and Korea, with responsibility for strategy, R&D, customer development and product management, and product marketing. Internationally, Mr. Paulson led various Nokia product management teams based in Beijing, Singapore, Dubai, Sao Paulo, and the USA. Mr. Paulson has served as a charter member of Nokia Americas Management Board.. Mr. Paulson serves as a Board Director of EvoNexus San Diego.
He has been involved in the wireless industry for over 30 years.
